The training on “Outcome-Based Learning,” held on 7th December 2024, provided participants with an in-depth understanding of OBE principles, frameworks, and practical implementation strategies. Designed as a comprehensive 5-hour session, the workshop equipped faculty, scholars, and professionals with the skills to develop measurable learning outcomes, align curricula with institutional goals, and adopt effective assessment methods. Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and expert facilitation by Dr. Najmonnisa Khan and Ms. Sadiya Durrani, the session successfully strengthened participants’ capacity to implement student-centered, outcome-driven educational practices within their respective departments and institutions. The training was organized from the platform of CCRT.
OBE LMS Training: December 30th–31st, 2024
The QOBE Training Program, organized by the CCRT in collaboration with the Head of Academics, was held on December 30 and 31, 2024, at the IoBM campus and brought together focal persons including IT/Admin staff, HoDs, Program Coordinators, and instructors for a comprehensive full-day session. The training provided an in-depth orientation to QOBE as an integrated Student Information System, LMS, and curriculum management platform supporting accreditation processes. Participants received detailed technical guidance on system configuration, role assignments, program and course setup, and outcome mapping (PEO, PLO, CLO), followed by instructor-level training on classroom management, assessment creation, activity mapping, quizzes, attendance, and CQI processes. The program also covered extensive reporting features, including mapping reports, classroom analytics, and OBE-based transcripts. The hands-on practice session ensured that attendees could apply the newly learned features directly, with support materials and technical assistance provided to strengthen their operational proficiency in QOBE.
Dr. Arsalan Haneef, Assistant Professor of CBM and Program Coordiantor PhD, presented a research paper titled “FINANCIAL INCLUSION BEYOND ACCESS: PROMOTING FINANCIAL STABILITY AND EFFICIENCY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH DIGITAL INTEGRATION” at the IISES International Conference on Economics, Finance & Business, Rome, Italy from 25th to 27th August, 2025.
Dr. Muhammad Rehan presented his research paper titled “Climate Action’s Drivers: A Dynamic Panel Analysis of SDG 13 through Green Finance, Innovation, and Trade Openness” at the International Conference on Economics, Finance & Business, organized by IISES, held in Rome, Italy, from August 25–27, 2025. The presentation highlighted the critical role of green finance, technological innovation, and trade openness in driving SDG-13 (Climate Action).
“On April 24, 2025, Dr. Muhammad Ali Faisal presented “Analyzing Credit and Equity Linkage within a Dynamic Causality Paradigm” at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Bahrain. The session explored dynamic interdependencies between credit and equity markets, offering fresh insights into causal relationships under shifting economic conditions.”
Dr. Kiran Jameel from the Accounting & Finance Department, CBM, participated in the Sustain Bahrain 2025 Conference held on June 24, 2025, at the American University of Bahrain. The conference focused on key areas of sustainable development, including ESG practices, sustainable finance, corporate accountability, and innovative climate-resilient business strategies. Dr. Jameel’s participation highlights CBM’s commitment to advancing research and contributing to global sustainability dialogue.
Dr. Midhat from the Marketing department of CBM, presented my research paper titled “Empirical Study on Household Engagement in Pro-Environmental Behavior -The Moderating Influence of Environmental Concern within the Extended Norm Activation Model in Haze Management Contexts”, at the 53rd EBES Conference in Madrid (16-18 October, 2025). It was a privilege to represent our institution at such a distinguished academic gathering.
The Future Summit, held on November 5–6, 2025, at the Mövenpick Hotel, served as a premier platform for discussions on emerging trends shaping the future of business, technology, and society. Ten faculty members proudly represented the College of Business Management (CBM) at IoBM, actively participating in the conference sessions and engaging with industry leaders and experts. Their presence reflects CBM’s commitment to continuous professional development, industry collaboration, and staying at the forefront of global advancements in business and management education.
The exclusive session with Dr. Awais Ur Rehman was jointly organized by the Graduate Business Research (GBR) Department in collaboration with the CBM Center for Research and Training (CCRT), reflecting our shared commitment to strengthening postgraduate research capacity at IoBM. Through this coordinated effort, we aimed to provide our MS and PhD scholars with high-quality, targeted research guidance that supports their academic and professional growth.
Dr. Shagufta Ghouri, Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Program, and Dr. Sarah Wali Qazi, Associate Dean of the Graduate and Postgraduate Programs at CBM, attended the two-day workshop titled “Student Counselling by Faculty and Staff” held in Islamabad on November 6–7, 2025. Organized by NBEAC, the workshop offered an enriching learning experience focused on effective approaches to student counselling, coaching, and mentoring. The sessions, led by experts Mohsin Nishat (FCIPD, SHRM-SCP) and Dr. Saqib, provided valuable insights into supporting students with empathy, professionalism, and ethical responsibility. The event also created a strong networking platform, enabling meaningful interactions with academicians from various institutions.
The CBM Center for Research and Training (CCRT), Institute of Business Management (IoBM), successfully organized a professional development workshop titled “Curriculum Management for Quality and Accreditation” for Program and Department Heads. The session aimed to strengthen institutional understanding of curriculum alignment, academic governance, quality assurance frameworks, and continuous improvement mechanisms in the context of national and international accreditation requirements. The workshop provided an interactive platform for academic leaders to reflect on existing practices and explore strategic approaches for enhancing curriculum relevance, coherence, and quality.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Sana Tauseef, Associate Professor and Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), IBA Karachi, whose expertise and practical insights enriched the discussions. This event was designed for fostering meaningful dialogue and collaborative learning among participants. The session contributed significantly to building institutional capacity for quality-driven curriculum management and reinforced IoBM’s commitment to academic excellence and accreditation readiness.
